July 2023 center highlight with DSP
I learned this from Kevin Theesen, and he got it from another Demo.
Fold your Lemon Lolly CS in half. Your 1/4" strips should be the same color as your card base.
Take your scrap piece of CS (it can be any color, It will be all covered up) which is 4 x 5 1/4.
Place the 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 piece of any DSP or cardstock in the center. Glue down.
Starting on the upper left side glue down your 1/4 strips to form a border around your 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 piece.
Once you have your strips glued down, trim them off.
Now using scrap DSP or the 4x3 pieces I have cut for you, place them around your square. If doing it at home, you will need 2 scrapes that are 3 1/2 x 2 for the larger sides.
The upper right and bottom left can use the same piece of DSP.
Glue all pieces down and trim off the extra.
Punch either a black circle or an animal out with the circle punch and add to the center of the card.
Use the white cs to layer under the DSP to give it more weight.
