Biltmore Tour: Card 3

My card is not hand painted imported tile, but I think it turned out rather nice.

I will admit coloring is not my thing, don't look to close.

I tried a new trick, I tucked the vellum under the top sheet, scored at the edge so I only had to use one little glue dot to hold it in place.  I placed the glue dot under the "m"

Also, the blank sheet is how I scored it first.  That looked horrible, I learned when making a grid start in the middle.

This was made with the retiring set Beautiful Promenade get yours before it is gone.

Biltmore Tour: Card 2

I had to wait to post this card until the very special lady I went on the tour with received this card in the mail!  I did not want to spoil her surprise.

One of the very first this we came to at Biltmore was a long room outside the and this long table was right in the middle.  I had just gotten done with Onstage the day before was excited to see one of our new stamp sets in the pattern, Verdant Garden (#149460 $16).  We also walked around in the gardens so I wanted to include

the Magnolia from Good Morning Magnolia (#149298 $36.00) for her special card.  The navy and gold inspiration came from the table cloth.

Now I'm not sure what I have never thought to use a clothespin to keep my fingers out of the heat when embossing, but with this big piece of embossing it came in handy.

Even experienced stampers make mistakes, in the first picture I did not wait for the Night of Navy ink to dry in the flower before I added the embossing powder to the words.  In the second I did let it dry but not long enough.  Tip let the Navy ink dry even longer than 5 mins, or dry with a heat tool before you stamp words with Versamark. This also would have been a good time to use the Embossing Buddy!

May 2019 Card Class: Background Omit

I saw this on a scrapbook page and really wanted to try it out on a card. The original page left the black space total white, I did not like that look on the card. Hope you like how I changed it up a bit.

May Card Class

We all need a little inspiration and card making is not different!  You can look online and find thousands of ideas.

Here are the 3 items I looked at for my cards this month, I did not get the name on the scrapbook page, my bad.

In some cases, I tried to copy and in others, I did not have the right supplies so they are a twist of the original.

Hope you enjoy!

GRADUATION TIME

When you have older kids you get invited to many graduation parties.  Here is my stack of cards for this year and I''m still not sure I have enough.

Simple, easy to make, and featuring a retired stamp set.   Enjoy!

This 3 step stamp is so easy to use, because it is clear you can see where you stamp.  I love our photopolymer stamp sets!
